High demand @ MB - Macmillan Brown Library opening
- The Macmillan Brown Library will be open from 8am-8pm from Monday the 14th of March onwards (excluding the Earthquake Memorial day, 18 March 2011)
- MB will focus on proving high-demand material to support students resuming lectures as part of the UC Progressive Restart programme
- Check the Macmillan Brown Library website for further details
Items on loan
Items due after the 22nd of February have been renewed:
- High Demand items (e.g. 3 hour and 3 day loans) and Interloans to the 15th March
- All other items to the 16th March
Requests and recalls
- These are not able to be processed at the moment as there is no access to campus libraries.
- For high demand material not accessible via Macmillan Brown (indicated in the library catalogue), please place a reserve
Interloans
Continue to make requests. Some requests are being processed where we are likely to get an electronic version. Interloans can be returned to the NZi3 building 9.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday. The drop box is a yellow recycle bin just outside the door.
Outstanding loans are now due on the 15th of March.
Eresources
We are working with our vendors to extend access to eresources. See New Electronic Resources. We will also be reviewing all high-demand materials to see which of these are available digitally. These are starting to come on stream now. The best way to access these resources is through MultiSearch
Orders for the collection
Continue to make requests. Send the details to acquisitions@libr.canterbury.ac.nz. Some requests are being processed (e.g. where we will get an electronic version). Check the new titles lists for recent acquisitions.

Emails re items available for collection
Emails have been incorrectly sent out to some users to pick up books from libraries, for example requests or interloans. Please ignore these in the meantime. We are very sorry about this: an email problem on a server was fixed which then sent out the emails banked up from after the earthquake. There is currently no way to get physical items from the libraries or from interloans.
