The posterior model is updating the mean and standard deviation to become more representative of NZ's vs30 values for terrain / geology.
In the case that there aren't any measured points for the given Geology or Terrain classification, the prior model median is used but a larger standard deviation is applied.
Additionally, if the prior and the measured data agree then a low standard deviation is applied but if there are discrepancies then it is increased.
