EndNote is software that enables you to store and manage references, and use these to format citations and bibliographies in documents, in many different styles.

The University of Canterbury Library helps and supports students with the use of EndNote by offering both courses and individual help. For help, contact your Information Librarian.

Endnote X3 is the supported version for all users in 2009 and is fairly similar to Endnote X2 in the way it is used. New features are explained on the Endnote site.. If you still use Endnote 9, this version is quite different and the Endnote 9 help pages are still available.

Do you need to install Endnote on your own computer? If so, you can download the necessary files here.

There is also a cut-down web based version available for use if that better suits your needs.

When Endnote installs on your computer, it also installs a substantial manual in PDF format. In Windows, going to Start, Programs, Endnote will let you find and open the manual.
