The University of Canterbury's Ōtehīwai Mt John Observatory (UCMJO) is run by the School of Physical & Chemical Sciences at the University of Canterbury. Staff and students, as well as external visitors, use the facility for a range of observations and projects, and as a base for field work in Te Manahuna, the Mackenzie Basin.
