  1. Jan-Dec 2017: QuakeCoRE Alpine fault case study project: link
    • During the 2017 calendar year, QuakeCoRE, will run a cross-flagship Alpine Fault case study in which leading research happening within the six flagship areas of QuakeCoRE will be synthesised to advance the understanding of Alpine fault impacts. 
  2. ~April(?): Paleoseismic / source characterisation of the Alpine Fault (contact: Dr. Rob Langridge, GNS Science)Month(?)
  3. November 2016-July 2017: Project AF8 - CDEM emergency management exercise (contact: is a collaboration between South Island CDEM groups (led by Emergency Mangaement Southland) and the Alpine Fault research community. The Risk workstream (led by Dr. Caroline Orchiston, University of Otago) is developing the hazard and impact assessments to inform South Island CDEM Group response planning workshops scheduled for November 2016-March 2017.
