Misc BB notes to expand on:
- Engage with GeoNet to clarify the role that QuakeCoRE can take in the GeoNet Building Instrumentation programme
- Continue the development of additional instrumented structural and geotechnical arrays in conjunction with GeoNet (I’m aware of the 3 UC buildings and 2 geotech arrays currently going on).
- Obtain/collate instrumentation monitoring data and metadata, e.g. Building plans for instrumented structures; soil details for geotechnical arrays (ideally for instrumented structures also).
- Explore the role of low-cost accelerometers either in conjuction with, or independent of, gold-standard instruments for inferring seismic response metrics
- Use low-amplitude (incl. ambient vibration) data to improve the characterization of geotechnical and structural models
- Develop scripts and other computational tools to increase the accessibility of field instrumentation and monitoring data for use in validation analyses
